Creating parameter contexts

Databridge Pro offers two methods for establishing Parameter Contexts: through the Global menu and within a Process Group.

To create a parameter context from the Global menu:

  1. Select Parameter Contexts from the Global menu.

  2. In the Parameter Contexts screen, click the Add (+) button.

  3. In the Settings tab, add a name for the Parameter Context and description, if desired.

  4. Click Apply to save.

To create a parameter context from a Process Group:

  1. Right-click the Process Group and select Configure.

  2. In the Edit Process Group Settings tab, click the plus icon next to the Parameter Context field.

    An existing Parameter Context may be populated within the field. Creating a new Parameter Context from will override the existing Parameter Context.

  3. In the Add Parameter Context window, complete the following:

    a. In the Settings tab, add a Name and Description (optional) for the Parameter Context.

    b. (Optional) In the Parameters tab, add the desired parameters and values.

    c. (Optional) In the Inheritance tab, select Parameter Contexts to be inherited within the new Context group.

    Multiple Parameter Contexts can be selected for inheritance and will be considered in order from top to bottom.

    d. Click Apply to save the new Parameter Context.

  4. In the Edit Process Group Settings tab, click Apply to apply the Context to the group.
