These steps are completed on the Web Application Configuration page of the Smart API Manager Configuration Utility.
These steps configure the Smart API Manager web application. A default value is given for each option. If you want to use these defaults, just click Next to move on. If you need to change the defaults, complete the steps below.
-
In the Web Application section, define the name and application settings for the Smart API Manager web application.
Web Site
The website in IIS where the web application is added.
HTTP Port
The port on the web server used to connect to the Smart API Manager application. For example, the port for the default website in IIS is typically 80.
Application Name
The name used to build the URL for the web application.
Application Pool
The name of the application pool used to run the web application. You can select an existing application pool or enter a name to create a new application pool.
Application Identity
The identity for the application pool that the web application runs under.
The wizard creates the website and application pool, if required.
-
In the HTTPS Settings section, provide the secure communication settings for the web application.
Enable HTTPS
Indicates that the web application will communicate securely using HTTPS.
If there is an HTTPS certificate on the web server, this option is automatically selected and cannot be cleared.
Intergraph recommends that you use HTTPS.
HTTPS Certificate
If there is an HTTPS certificate on the web server, it is listed here.
To see the certificate details, click View.
HTTPS Port
The port used for secure communications, typically 443.
-
If you need to specify a NAT (Network Address Translation) address, select Override in the Base Address section and enter the external, public-facing URL.
Smart API Manager instances configured to run in a web farm or behind a load balancer must have the same base address as the instance you are duplicating.
The base URI is generated based on the web protocol, server name, certificate subject (if using HTTPS), and application name.
