Click Start > All Programs > Standard Database for Intergraph Smart Reference Data 12.3 > SDB Setup Wizard and select Run as administrator.

Select the type of Database Architecture:

Non-Container Database is a traditional database architecture type, where a single-instance database is created.

Container Database if you want to create a Container Database (CDB) with Pluggable Database (PDB).

Select one of the following from the Database Creation list:

Create an empty Oracle instance of Smart Reference Data and import SDB 12.3 dump file if you want to create an entirely new database for SDB 12.3.

Import Standard Database 12.3 dump file into an existing oracle instance of Smart Reference Data if you want to import into an existing empty Standard Reference Data database. You need to have an existing empty Oracle instance of Smart Reference Data.
You must manually install any available Apex hotfixes.

Install a compatible Apex version on the empty database.

Provide the Oracle SID or Oracle CDB Name or Oracle PDB Name with:

CHARACTER SET AL32UTF8

NATIONAL CHARACTER SET UTF8
Oracle SID or Oracle CDB Name or Oracle PDB Name should not contain any special characters.

Provide the passwords to be set for the database in the following boxes: Oracle SYS, SYSTEM, M_SYS, SDB_SYS Password and Confirm Oracle SYS, Confirm SYSTEM, Confirm M_SYS, and Confirm SDB_SYS Password.

Select Oracle Home. The Oracle Home list box is auto populated with the applicable oracle homes for the setup version.

Select Apex Installation Folder. This is mandatory for creating SRD 10.2 database.

Specify Oracle Data Files Path under which the database is to be created. The default folder location for the database files is D:\oradata\.

Specify Log Files Path under which the log files are created. The log files path must not contain any spaces in between.

Click Finish to start database creation.
