The following figure shows Domain Access Control of content for the user Mary who has been defined in the Site A domain with the role as Writer.

In this scenario, the piece of content named "DOC A" includes the following in the properties section:

  • Domain field: 'Company X > Site A > Dept 1 '

  • Access field: 'Everyone '

Therefore, since Mary's user account is assigned to the Site A domain, which has Dept 1 as a descendant domain, and because she has the Writer role, Mary can edit DOC A.
