Update an existing standard template at any time by adding or removing sections. All documents linked to that template automatically get updated with the changes. New sections get added to linked content in the order specified in the template. Sections removed from the template remain in the traditional content, but are no longer locked so can be edited or removed, if needed.
Template changes create a new draft for all affected documents. The version history
of affected documents include all template updates.

From the menu, click Templates.
The Document Templates list opens.

From the Standard tab, choose the template you want to update.

Click Edit template.

Add or remove sections, as needed.

Click Preview.

Type a brief description of the changes made to the content.

(Optional) Expand Affected content to get a list of the linked documents that will be impacted by the change.

Click Save.
You may need to refresh your view of linked documents to see how the standard template updates affect your content.
