Problem
You experience slow performance as you use the search bar.
Causes
A common cause is that, as you enter characters in the search bar, the Web Client sends multiple calls to the server. Too many server calls can reduce the Web Client performance. The time an object waits before sending a call to the server is known as the debounce time.
Solutions
You can control the debounce time using the SPF Web Client Peek Debounce Duration setting in the Server Manager Web Client site settings. This setting specifies the amount of time in milliseconds(ms) that the action waits as you enter characters in the search bar before it makes a server call to return matches. The default is 300 ms. Increasing this time means the search bar sends fewer server requests, which can help improve performance, especially if you have a lot of users.
