You can create URLs in the Web Client that are composed to consistently open a path to pre-determined views of objects and documents. For example, you can create a URL to open a specific object or set of objects in the results grid.
When a URL to a specific object is launched, the system determines if you need to change scope to access the object depending on your access permissions.
If you have the necessary role and scope permissions set, you can then make an informed choice to switch scopes to the correct query or create scope so you can access the objects. The URL navigates straight to the selected objects.
You can launch the URL within different parts of the Web Client to view objects and documents, such as:

If you create URLs based on workflow steps, the steps need to be referenced by OBID
and not by the name. This ensures that the workflow steps are correctly identified.
