Error Message

Could not load file or assembly Oracle.DataAccess.

Problem

The Oracle.DataAccess dll file is not registered in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) or the default version is different from the installed version.

The default assembly version of the DLL in the SPFAppServer.config file is different from the Oracle version installed on the HxGN SDx server.

Solution

  1. Register the Oracle.DataAccess dll file by moving the file from <Oracle_install_directory>\product\<Oracle_version>\client_1\ODP.NET\bin\2.x to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly.

    Or

  2. Update the Oracle.DataAccess version in the SPFAppServer.config file of the HxGN SDx site with the version available in the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly folder.
