The user configured for SPFRemoteServices must have launch permissions set correctly.

  1. Open Component Services, expand Component Services > Computers.

  2. Right-click My Computer and click Properties.

  3. Click the COM Security tab.

  4. In the Launch and Activation Permissions area, click Edit Default.

  5. Click Add.

  6. Type Local Service, and then click OK.

  7. Select Local Service.

  8. Check the Allow check box for the following items:

    • Local Launch

    • Local Activation

  9. Click OK, and then click OK again.
