Workflow options provide a mechanism to configure the default e-mail message sent to the recipients of a step. These are overridden by any e-mails linked to the step class.
When a new step is started in a workflow, the workflow engine determines if the step class (relating to the current step) has an associated e-mail message and uses that e-mail message to send out a workflow e-mail notification. If no e-mail message is found, then the default e-mail message is generated from the Options command.
