Master tag patterns and alias tag patterns are defined in the Tag Discovery Pattern module. A master tag pattern can exist by itself or may be related to one or more alias tag patterns. A tag that matches the master tag pattern results in a master tag. The master tag represents an actual object in an engineering plant.

Log on to HxGN SDx Dashboard.

Click Data Capture Task Manager.

Click Tags > Master Tags.

Search for the master tag that you want to view.

Select a value from the Column Set box, and then enter the name of the tag in the Search Master Tags box to view the properties of the master tag.
To generate a document report, select a tag, and then click Generate Report 
. A tag document report includes the following: tag properties, documents related
to the tag and list of alias tags related to the master tag.
