Before preparing to work with large amount of data, based on the size of the data it is recommended to configure the LicenseTimeoutSeconds property under Site Settings node in HxGN SDx Server Manager. This setting will prevent the license token to timeout, thereby allowing the session to retain. If you are using SDx deployed in Smart Cloud, this must be done for you by the Smart Cloud Team.

  1. Find the FDW document, right-click it, and click Edit > CheckIn with Content Extraction.

  2. In the CheckIn with Content Extraction dialog box, select a file and reader from Select Master File and Pre-Processor lists, respectively.

SHARED Tip To use the existing pre-processed files, select the Use Existing PreProcessed Content Files check box

  3. Select the Match Tag Patterns check box to extract the tags that are defined in the Tag Discovery Patterns module.

If the selected document contains a Smart 3D file, type the connection string in the OleDB Provider box to connect to the Microsoft Access database.

  4. Select a template/template group from the Template Groups/Templates list.

To replace the previous document version with the checked-in document, select the Replace Document Version check box.

  5. Click CheckIn.

  • FDW tags are created without applying an ENS definition which is configured using the Desktop Client.

  • By default, the property Is Data Capture Rel is set to True on document to tag relationships SPFNDocRevMasterTag, SPFNDocRevAliasTag, FDWDocRevTag and SPFNFDWDocRevChildTag for Data Capture tags.
