UoM sets are groups of UoMs that measure the same property but in different units. A UoM set can be attached to a display item to provide a pick list of valid UoMs. UoM sets can also be used to limit the number of options users must choose from in a pick list of units.
UoM display sets are used to match UoMs with their equivalents in other systems of measurement so that when the user changes the display set in the Desktop Client, UoMs and values change appropriately. For example, the default UoM sets are imperial and metric. In each set, UoMs are matched with the nearest metric or imperial equivalent to make conversions possible in the client.
