The default database created earlier in this workflow must now be deleted. The following steps will guide you through this process.
-
From the Start menu, select All Programs > Oracle > Configuration and Migration Tools > Database Configuration Assistant.
-
Click Next on the Welcome screen.
-
Select Delete a Database, and click Next.
-
Select the default database that was created, and click Finish.
-
Click Yes when asked if you want to proceed.
-
The Database Configuration Assistant asks if you want to perform another operation. Click No.
Because no databases exist yet, this is a convenient time to load Oracle patches
on the server. Oracle patch 22 needs to be installed before creating the Oracle database.
