Open an existing project or create a new project. You can access the Group Manager in both places.

Click the View tab, and then select Properties in the Display panel.

Click the Group Manager box in the Properties window, and then click the ellipsis .
The Group Manager displays.

Click New Group.
A new group adds to the list.

You can add as many groups as needed by repeatedly clicking New Group.

Any group you add also needs to be added to the Bill of Material Setup.

To remove a group, click the layer, and then press DELETE.

Select a Default Layer for the group.
The layer populates the box and displays the color associated with that layer next to the layer name.

Click OK when finished.

Click File > Save to save changes to the project.
