Specifies the installed radius of curvature when you lay a straight pipe element in an arc.
Typical units (depending on your unit system):
-
ft
-
m
-
mm
According to ISO 14692-2017, roping stress is proportional to Ea (the Axial Modulus of Elasticity) and inversely proportional to the Curve Radius. On a flat surface, the curve radius of the ground is infinite and decreases as the curvature increases. If the curve radius is not specified correctly, a large amount of roping stress can be generated. To ignore the roping stress, define a very large value for Curve Radius, such as 1e12.
