Each type of dynamic analysis has its own procedure for producing results, but all start in the same way:

  1. Save and check the dynamic input.

  2. Run the analysis.

  3. The account number is requested (if accounting is active).

  4. The ESL is accessed (limited run ESLs are decremented).

  5. The element and system stiffness matrices are assembled.

  6. Load vectors are created where appropriate.

  7. The system mass matrix is generated.

From this point the processing progresses according to the type of analysis selected.

After calculations are complete, control is passed to the Dynamic Output Processor. For more information, see Dynamic Output Processing.
