MatId - CAESAR II - Help

MatId or Commands > MatId specifies material properties that correspond to a Material ID number and places the following card in the Card Stack pane:

You must have at least one valid material specification in the input file. For more information, see Material Properties.

Add material properties

1. Select the appropriate row in the Card Stack pane.

2. Use the needed command from the Insert menu to place the MATID card in the needed position. For more information, see Insert Menu.

3. Click MatId .

   The MATID card is added to the Card Stack.

   You can use one Matid for a group of elements that has many Section IDs (Secid).

4. Click to expand the Matid card and view the properties.

5. Add values to the Matid properties.

   Use Matid 1 for default A-36 structural steel properties.

6. Click Save to finish.

   The CAESAR II Error Checker automatically checks the model for errors.
