This section discusses how to start the software after it has been installed successfully and begin performing the various tasks in the software environment.
Project Management
Reference a Point Cloud
Load the point cloud software on your computer before referencing it from Project
Management. Through Project Management, the point cloud model is added to the Smart
3D model.

In Project Management, select the model to add as the point cloud reference model.

Click Database > New > Point Cloud Model Reference to open the New Point Cloud Model Reference dialog box.

Right-click the model node, and select New Point Cloud Model Reference.

Define the point cloud model information in the respective boxes and click OK.

Smart 3D
You can use the CloudWorx features using the CloudWorx menu in Smart 3D. Most CloudWorx commands require that a CloudWorx project be open. Otherwise, you should:

Use Configure Databases in Project Management to configure databases.

Add a filter using Define Workspace. The filter should have Point Cloud project name selected. The software loads the point cloud model that is being selected in Project Management.
You need to open a Smart 3D session file first. The session file should have a filter
containing Point Cloud project name displayed.
