You can start the EcoSys connect jobs using EcoSys Actions. Follow the steps below to create a new action type in the EcoSys application.

  1. Create a new Action with Action Type as Connect Job.

  2. Click the Connect Job Settings tab.

  3. Enter the job name.

    The job name in the EcoSys action must match the job name in Connect.

  4. Select Wait for Job Completion to get a progress indicator for the action. If you uncheck this option, the action runs without a progress indicator and the job progress cannot be monitored in the EcoSys Connect UI.

  5. Select Use Default Timeout to change the job timeout setting (the default timeout is 60 min).

  6. Click the Parameters tab and define the parameters you want to send to an EcoSys Connect job.

  7. For lookup parameters, use the setting under the EcoSys Connect field to select what is sent to Connect.

  8. In the EcoSys Connect field, select the value you want to send to Connect.

  9. Click SAVE.

    If you setup a job to run as an action from EcoSys with parameters, you can start the job only within EcoSys but not in Connect UI or scheduler.
