The Minor Period Closeout process is used to close the current period and change the current open period to the following month. After this action batch is run, the previous month’s actuals may no longer be updated.

Closing a minor period is applied enterprise wide, meaning that executing the minor period close process will be applied across all projects. EcoSys does not allow closing individual projects independently from one another.

It is recommended to create project snapshot (Project > Project SetupSnapshot Project Data action) before closing the period.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Minor Period Closeout.

  2. Click the Minor Period Closeout tab.

  3. Click on the Closeout button. A confirmation dialog box appears.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Navigate to Admin > System Status & Logs > Batch Job Log.

  6. Click the Batch Job hyperlink. A list of Batch job descriptions appears.

  7. Select the job with the description Closeout Minor Period.

  8. Review the log to ensure it completed successfully. Check the execution date or time to ensure that the correct entry is being reviewed.

  9. The top right of the screen should display the new open period (incremented by one month from the last open period). If not, double-click on that minor period – the new minor period value should appear.
