This procedure allows you to add and update resource details, and delete resources. Also, you can identify resource managers and assign resources to them.

If you are working with the SCP version of EcoSys Standard Product, the Resource Managers value in Transaction Category must be built in a hierarchy format, similar to Resource ID, to assign the resource as Resource Manager.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Core Admin > Resource Admin.

  2. Click the ASSIGNMENT tab.

  3. In the Assign Resource Managers panel, click the Insert Row icon to add a new row for a resource.

  4. Type the Resource ID and Resource Name.

  5. (Optional) Select Active to make the resource available.

  6. (Optional) Type the Email ID of the resource.

  7. (Optional) Select User if the resource type is a user.

  8. Click the ellipsis and select the required value for the following fields.

    • Parent Resource Path ID (Applicable only if assigning the resource under a parent level resource.)

    • Resource Type Path ID

    • Discipline ID

  9. If the resource is a Smart Cloud user, select SCP User.

  10. Click SAVE. The boxes Resource Type Name, Discipline Name and Last Update User auto-populate.

  11. If the resource is a manager, select Resource Manager.

    • You can select Resource Manager only when the following conditions satisfy:

      • Active and User must be selected.

      • Resource type must be a Named Resource or Discipline Resource.

    • The Resource Manager box highlights in red color if you alter the conditions mentioned in the above note for an existing assigned resource manager.

  12. Click SAVE. The Assign hyperlink appears in the Assign Resource field.

    • See Server Settings for 8.8 to prevent resource deletion if assigned to Transactions anywhere in the system.

    • To remove a resource, click the Delete Row(s) icon.

  13. Click the Assign hyperlink. The Resource Assignment panel appears below the Assign Resource Managers panel.

    • By default, the assigned resource is selected as Resource Manager in the Resource Assignment panel.

    • You can also assign a resource to multiple resource managers.

  14. In the Resource Assignment panel, click the Insert Row icon to add a new row and assign a resource for the selected Resource Manager.

  15. Click the Resource ID ellipsis and select the resource.

  16. Click SAVE. The Resource Name auto-populates.

    • You can customize the view of the Assign Resource Managers panel from the view settings.
