The following subset of EcoSys categories and their associated category value(s) are specific to projects (I.E. Cost Object Category).

Navigate to Enterprise Data > Maintain Categories and Values. The Select Category Type panel appears.

In the Select Category Type panel, click Cost Object hyperlink. A right side panel appears.
Do not update information in the top panel, this may impact system integrity.

In Maintain Categories panel, click the required Category ID of the cost object category that requires a new value. The Maintain Category Values panel appears. You must always select only any of the below category values:

Locations

Clients
-
Project Managers
-
Responsible Managers
-
Responsible Organization
Ignore the other values available for selection! These are system defaults. Modifications could impact the integrity of the EcoSys system.

To add a new value, perform the following actions in the Maintain Category Values panel.

Click the Insert Row icon to add a new row.

Type a unique Value ID.

Type the Value Name.

Click the Parent ID ellipsis and select the required parent ID.

Click SAVE.
If building hierarchical lists, the parent entry must be created and saved before the child can be added.
If building a hierarchical list and the current entry should be subordinate to an entry that is already established, select the Value ID of the parent in the field.

To edit the data, perform the following actions in the Maintain Category Values panel.

Edit the required Value Name.

Click the Parent ID ellipsis and select the required parent ID.

Click SAVE.
If the Value ID is changed, the new key will be assigned to any projects originally assigned with the old key value.

To delete a value, perform the following actions in the Maintain Category Values panel.

Click the row to be deleted.
-
Click the Delete Row(s) icon.

Click OK and then SAVE.
If the users are working with the SCP version of EcoSys Standard Product, the Resource Managers value in Transaction Category must be built in a hierarchy format, similar to Resource ID, to assign the resource as Resource Manager in Resource Admin.
