Opportunity objects templates can be added manually. When adding new objects, do not select Insert or Insert Multiple, select Insert Under or Insert Under Multiple. The Cost Control Level assignment must exist in order to define the budget, accumulate actuals, calculate earned value, and generate a forecast for that project object.

Navigate to Admin > Portfolios Admin > Opportunity Template Structure.

At the top of the screen, in the toolbar, click the Template ellipsis to select the required project template.

Click Refresh icon for screen update.

Click the Template WBS tab.

Click the Rows icon and select Insert Under. This creates a new row under the selected line item.
The Insert Under places the project structure below the selected line item. If the Insert Row icon is used, the project structure is placed at the same level as the selected line
item. Hence it is recommended to use Insert Under.
Do not choose Insert or Insert Multiple. If these options are utilized, the WBS will not be added as part of the project
unless the Parent Path ID is also specified.

Type a unique ID.

Type a required Name.

Click the Type ellipsis to select required Template WBS type.

Click the Cost Object Status and select the status of the Cost Object.

Click the Parent Path ID ellipsis to select the required parent.

Click the Cost Control Level to Yes.

Click the Contingency Account Type ellipsis and select the Contingency Account Type.

Click the Object Exchange Rate Table ellipsis to select the required exchange rate table.

Click SAVE. The full WBS element Path ID will be displayed
Click the Delete Row(s) icon to delete a selected opportunity object template.
