This procedure allows you to view and update the general attributes of a project.

  1. In the Project Details panel, click the General tab.

    By default, the last selected project appears in the Project ellipsis. To change the project, click the Project ellipses and select the required project.

  2. Edit the Project Name.

  3. (Optional) Type an Alternate ID.

  4. Click the Project Start Date and Project End Date ellipses and select the start date and end date.

    If the project start and end dates are not set, the Gantt chart in the Portfolio Analysis Dashboard does not display the project.

  5. Click the ellipsis and select the required values in the below fields:

    • (Optional) Portfolio - Select the required portfolio. This adds the current project to the selected portfolio.

    • Security Organization - Select the required security organization

      Status of the project auto-populates

    • Responsible Organization - Select the organization that is responsible to maintain the project

    • Project Manager - Select the project manager

    • Project Risk Manager - Select the project risk manager

    • Project Controller - Select the project controller

    • Scheduler Method - Select the scheduler method with which you want to execute this project

    • (Optional) Location - Select the location where the project would be setup

    • (Optional) Project Calendar - Select a calendar for the project

    • (Optional) Project Type - Select the project type

    • (Optional) Client - Select the client for the project

  6. (Optional) Click the Project Logo icon and follow step 7 to attach a project logo.

    The saved project logo must be stored in the server, see Server Settings to Store Logo.

  7. (Optional) Attach the project related document.

    1. Click the Attachment icon.

    2. Click UPLOAD and then click Choose File to select a file to upload.

    3. Type the description of the document in the Document Description.

    4. To view or save the attachment, click the attachment hyperlink.

  8. (Optional) Select Time-Phase to time-phase the budget, change, and forecast data.

  9. (Optional) Type the Objective.

  10. Click SAVE.

    The Actual Start Date, Actual End Date, Status, Estimate Cost, Create User, Last Update User, Create Date, and Last Update Date auto-populate.

Server Settings to Store Image

To store the saved project logo in the server, follow the steps below:

  1. Create a folder with the name Reportimages in C:Ecosys/Esfm_Home on each application server within the clustered environment.

  2. Navigate to Admin > System Utilities.

  3. Click the EDIT SERVER SETTINGS tab.

  4. Update your server details in the highlighted URL below.

  5. Delete # in the URL to enable the server.

  6. Click the Save hyperlink.
