Schedule Aware Spreading - EcoSys - 9.1 - Administration & Configuration - Hexagon

While configuring a Transaction Summary Actions/Spreadsheets for spreading , you have an option to use Spreading feature for the Cost/Unit fields for the scheduler in spreadsheets and in actions.

1. Open the configured spreadsheet and click Edit Settings tab.

2. Under the Spread section, you can do the following:

   • If you un check the option Use Scheduler Date, you can select the option to store the values from Store Column Value list.

     

   • If you check the option Use Scheduler Date, following scheduling-based options appear.

     • Select the object ( task object or cost object) that you have scheduled from the transaction

       If you select Task as the scheduled object, select the type of task that you want to use for spreading the data from the Task list.

       

   • You can also use the option Use Resource.

     

   • When using scheduler dates and the option Use Resource, If there is no overlap between the Cost Object/Task working hours and the Resources working hours, EcoSys cannot produce a spread and an error is displayed.

   • If there is no resource on the spread row, spread is not calculated and an error is displayed

3. Select Spread with Duration Curve to control the spread logic. If you check this option, it uses the full schedule to spread the costs and create transactions. When you uncheck this options, the following options appear on how to spread.

   • Spread Linearly

   • Spread with bell curve

   • Spread front loaded

   • Spread back loaded

   • Spread using custom curve

     

     

     

   • When  the time zone for the schedule object calendar is different from the server time zone, spread transaction dates will use the schedule object calendars time zone.

   • If the Resource calendar is in a different time zone, the time of the scheduled object is converted to the Resource Calendar’s time to find overlaps.

   • When the days are identified where both calendars' overlaps,  the spread transactions are created at the start time on the date in the scheduling object calendar.

4. You can also determine how your transactions are created for spreading.

   • Under the Transaction Creating Method, select the required option.

     • Daily-

     • By Minor period

     • By Custom Time Period

       When By Custom Time Period is selected, you can choose the time period using the custom time period date parameter.
