  1. Click Server Manager.

  2. Click the Manage menu.

  3. Click Add roles and features and then follow the Add Role Wizard to the Server Roles section.

  4. Select Web Server (IIS) in the Roles list.

  5. Under Management Tool, select IIS 6 Management Compatibility.

  6. Under Application Development, select ASP.NET 3.5, ASP.NET 4.5 (Windows Server 2012 only), ASP.NET 4.6 (Windows Server 2016 only), and ISAPI Extensions.

  7. Click Next and then click Install.
