Case Management - Failure Mitigation tab - HxGN EAM - 12.1.1 - Feature Briefs - Hexagon

On this tab, typically used for a root cause analysis, you can add mitigation for any defined failure modes against the case. This tab is like the RCM Failure Mitigation tab on the equipment screens. For details see the HxGN EAM RCM brief. But since the data on this tab should be considered setup data and all the data is case related the following differences should be noted:

1. Organization—This field is missing because the case can never be common like equipment can be. Therefore, it was decided to remove this field from the screen and always populate it with the Organization of the case in the back end.

2. And since there is no equipment context like on the RCM templates:

   1. The three state fields (PM State, Maintenance Pattern State, and PM Plan State) are not available.

   2. And for the same reason there is no Activate Mitigation button and no Mitigation Applied check box.

3. Buttons:

   1. Failure Finding Interval—This button will bring up the Failure Finding Interval pop-up which allows you to enter data to determine the failure finding interval (FFI) for the selected failure mode. For details see the HxGN EAM RCM brief.

   2. Control Strategy—This button will bring up the Failure Mode Control Strategy pop-up which allows you to determine the control strategy for the selected failure mode. For details see the HxGN EAM RCM brief.
