The Assets, Positions, Systems, and Location screens have the following important attributes related to checklist processing:

  1. Equipment Filter—Multi-select lookup. System Codes Entity ‘Equipment / Checklist Filter Codes’ (‘ECFC’). This field works in conjunction with the Equipment Filter on the Checklist tab of the Task Plans screen and is used to filter out relevant checklist items for the equipment during the creation of the checklist. See Checklist creation for details.

  2. Size for Tolerance—As an alternative for equipment classes and categories, tolerances can also be defined for certain equipment size ranges. A one-inch variation in something that is 10 feet long is likely only a minor issue, but that same inch could have major impact if the equipment itself only measures one foot.

The equipment screens also have a Checklist tab where the results of entered checklists can be viewed. This includes both work order and operator checklists. Unlike on the data entry tabs these tabs do not show a Result field. Instead, they show the result fields independently, e.g., there is a separate OK checkbox, a separate Yes checkbox, etc. Like how checklists are exported to Excel.

At the top of this tab, you will find two pre-configured hyperlinks that can also be activated by double clicking a line. The hyperlinks will take you to the Work Orders screen or to the Review Operator Checklist screen, respectively. Feel free to re-arrange with screen designer as required.

And in this section, you will also find the following fields:

  1. Include Children— Checkbox. If selected the grid will also show checklist items associated to children of the selected equipment. Note that this option may slow down showing the checklist lines on this tab.

  2. Comment Includes— Text field. Here you can enter text that must be included in one or more of the comments of the displayed checklists. You can use wildcards if required as supported by the underlying database. For example:

    • If you enter oil, the system will search for comments that contain the word oil.

    • If you enter oil%filter, the system will search for comments that contain the word oil and then later in the text contain the word filter.

All searches will be executed case insensitive. So, if you enter Oil, oil and OIL will also be found.
