Similarly, Parts Costs for each compatible units library part record of the CU estimate are calculated by multiplying the quantity of compatible units specified on the estimate, by the CU price and quantity from the compatible units library part record. Similar to the calculation of labor costs, if a Price Override was specified for the compatible units library part record, then that price is considered instead of the CU price. In addition, should a supplier be specified for the compatible units library record (or for the work point to which the compatible unit is associated), then a supplier-specific price for the part is preferentially considered over a Price Override (or CU price) during the estimation process associated to part costs, if one exists. When multiple part records exist for a single compatible units library record, the costs associated to each of these part records are summed together to show the total Parts Costs for the compatible unit.

Additionally, the CUESSPMT Org. option is specified for the organization of the CU estimate record, this value is used to scale costs for length-based part records (i.e. those which have ft., mi., m. or km. specified for UOM) belonging to compatible units flagged as ‘Span Only’. The value specified for CUESSPMT is divided by 100, and then multiplied by the Quantity for each applicable part. For example, a CUESSPMT value as ‘120’ applied to a part having Quantity specified as ‘100’ with a price of $2.00/ linear ft. , would result in a total cost for the part of $240.
