The Compatible Units Fixed Asset Codes screen allows users to define Compatible Units Fixed Asset Codes records that may be associated with Compatible Units Library records; to be considered along with Compatible Units Accounting Codes during the cost estimation process for generating FERC Unit Estimate records. Fixed Asset Codes are used to designate a more specific level of accounting detail within accounting code when financial information is documented.
Compatible Units Fixed Asset Code records must include required fields of Fixed Asset Code, Description, and Organization. Optionally, a user may choose to restrict a fixed asset code to be used only for a specific accounting code by specifying a valid value in the Accounting Code field on this screen; however, if Accounting Code is left as blank, the fixed asset code will be available to be associated to any accounting code when a user designates accounting details for a compatible units library record.
