Install the remote agent as a standalone server application.

Certificates are required to configure Remote Agent to use secured HTTPS protocol to communicate with the Databridge server.

Obtain and prepare the certificates prior to installing the Remote Agent. Request certificates from the 3rd party Certification Authority (CA) of your choice and you will select Apache Web Server if you are asked for the type of web server used for the certificates.

  1. Insert the HxGN EAM Databridge Remote Agent CD into the proper drive.

  2. Specify the Databridge Remote Agent CD key, and then click Next.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement if you agree to the terms, and then click Next.

  5. Click Browse to locate and specify the directory in which to install HxGN EAM Databridge Remote Agent.

  6. Optionally, select the Hide advanced configuration options check box to accept the default settings for JVM size, configuration and data folder locations, HTTP ports and HTTPS options.

    Clear the check box to customize these defaults. The next screen allows you to customize these settings.

  7. Click Next.

    The following customization options do not display if Hide advanced configuration options was selected in the previous step.

  8. Specify this information:

    JVM Min Size (MB) - Specify the minimum JVM size.

    JVM Max Size (MB) - Specify the maximum JVM size.

    HTTP Port - Specify the HTTP port number to be used as the remote agent URL.

    HTTPS Port - Specify the HTTPS port number to be used as the remote agent HTTPS URL.

    Partner Documents Folder - Specify the folder in which Databridge message document files will be stored. This folder can be on this machine or on a file server on the network.

    Setup Files Folder - Specify the folder in which Databridge partner run-time configuration files will be stored. This folder can be on this machine or on a file server on the network.

  9. Click Next.

  10. Select the SSL option to receive messages to the Databridge server:

    Not Used - Select to use the regular, unsecured HTTP protocol to send messages.

    HTTPS - Select to use the secured HTTPS protocol to send messages.

  11. Select the SSL option to receive messages from the Databridge server:

    Not Used - Select to use the regular, unsecured HTTP protocol to receive messages.

    HTTPS - Select to use the secured HTTPS protocol to receive messages.

  12. Click Next.

    The following option does not display if Not Used was selected in the previous steps.

  13. Click Browse to specify the folder in which to search for the certificate package, and then click Next.

    If you are furnishing certificates, you must package the certificates into the certificate package zip file. ASP (hosted) customers must contact the HxGN EAM hosting service to obtain the key package.

  14. Click Next.

  15. Click Finish.
