To prevent the tables storing message status information from becoming too large over time, the status records for completed messages are archived. Status information is archived for messages with C (Completed) status for both processing and delivery, and for messages that have F (Failed) status for processing and/or delivery for which no further attempts to reprocess the message will be made. See Reprocessing and redelivering messages.

Status record information is archived, stored, and purged based on the following schedule:

  • Message status records are archived 3 months after the message processing is completed. The setting of the @MSGARC installation parameter indicates the length of time for message archiving for Databridge. You can update the setting of the installation parameter in EAM as necessary. The value for @MSGARC is in number of days. See the HxGN EAM System Administrator Guide.

  • Message status records are purged from the archive 15 months after message processing is completed. The setting of the @MSGDEL installation parameter indicates the length of time for message deleting for Databridge. You can update the setting of the installation parameter in EAM as necessary. The value for @MSGDEL is in number of days. See the HxGN EAM System Administrator Guide.
