The Batch Update Equipment Ranking Values screen has these important attributes:

  1. Record ID - Automatically generate sequence number identifying the batch update record.

  2. Description - Short description of the batch update record.

  3. Equipment Class - Control the selection of equipment on the Equipment tab of this batch update screen. If you leave this field blank all equipment of any class and all equipment without a class can be selected. Once filled in only equipment with the same class can be selected.

  4. Equipment Category - Like Equipment Class but now on category level.

  5. Equipment - Selection on the Equipment tab will be limited to this equipment only. Arguably this selection is only relevant if you also select Include Children.

  6. Include Children - If you select this option, then the primary equipment selection as described above on class, category and equipment is appended with a list of all the children of that primary equipment. The children do not have to adhere to the primary selection rules, meaning any class or category will do.

  7. Equipment Ranking - Select the equipment ranking you want to apply to the selected equipment.

  8. Remaining Ranking related fields serve a similar purpose as described earlier in this document. But now they are obviously relative to this batch update record and the survey answers provided for this batch update record.

  9. Button:

    • Calculate Ranking Values - This button will recalculate the score and index for the selected Equipment Ranking and based on the survey answer provided for this batch update record.

Since multiple equipment is involved, this option is only available if there are no calculated questions associated to the selected Equipment Ranking. Remember, calculated questions are usually bound to the equipment and therefore many different answers, and consequentially many different scores and indexes, would have to be handled.
