Define a linear direction for linear equipment. A linear equipment could increase from north to south, meaning the starting point is in the north and the ending point is in the south. Once that is determined, offsets can only be recorded in the direction of the equipment or in the opposite direction.
The selection for north and south does not mean the linear equipment must always travel north to south. This selection is only used to identify the general direction.
To define a linear direction and the related opposite direction:

Select Equipment > Linear Direction Setup.

Click New Record.

Specify the Direction and Opposite Direction.

Click Save.
