When operating in an integrated scenario, several code lists will be utilized in both HMS and EAM. These entities are as follows:
-
Status
-
Room Type
-
Unit Type
-
VIP Status
-
Maximum Guest Count
-
Living Room
-
Kitchen
-
Salutation/Title
Valid HMS values must be entered into EAM for all these codes before using the system. If a new Room Type (Guest Room or Event Room) is added to HMS, this value will be synchronized to EAM.
Additional validation codes for Kitchen Type, Living Room Type, Max Guest Count, Salutation, VIP Status, and Unit Type will be manually maintained between systems. Anytime a new HMS value is created for these codes, a user must manually enter the corresponding value into EAM.
The values provided in the table below were based on the values in the HMS Test environment. The assortment of values for Maximum Guest Count, Salutation, and VIP Status are determined by the end user and will vary from property to property.

Room Type exists in HMS to define guest rooms and to define event rooms. Data from two tables in HMS will be used to populate data to the Room Type code in EAM.
-
Room Type for guest rooms in HMS will be sourced from the table ROOMTYPE column
-
ROOMTYPECODE. This code value is 6 characters in length.
-
Room type for event rooms in HMS will be sourced from the table CODEVALUE column CODEVALUE where the CODETYPEVALUE is ‘EVNTTY.’ This code value is 6 characters in length.
Room Types for Guest Rooms and Event Rooms will be manually entered at startup. Once the integration is live, room types for Guest rooms and event rooms will be published by HMS in the same BOD (i.e., a single list) for EAM consumption into the Room Type entity.
The values provided in the table below were based on the values in the HMS Test environment. The assortment of rooms is determined by the end user and will vary from property to property.

The room status of "Active" and "Inactive" in HMS will be mapped to existing, delivered statuses in EAM (i.e., "Installed" and "Withdrawn"). Synchronization of these codes will not be performed as the integration will support the mapping.
