The Linear Direction Setup screen has the following attributes:

Direction - System Codes entity LDIR.

Opposite Direction - System Codes entity LDIR.

The combinations of direction and opposite direction must be unique. Every direction can only be used once on this screen. Once the pairs are established the system will automatically offer you selections, based on the defined pairs, to determine offsets on most screens where linear equipment or work is defined. For example, if you created the obvious pair North and South and you are defining work on an asset with its direction set to North, then offsets from selected linear features to determine the start and end of the work can only be defined as North or South. Other directions are not available in that case.
