On the Checklist tab of the Work Orders screen you can define the location against the Checklist Item. A problem with the ties of a rail segment can be identified using the From Point and To Point.
This tab has the following important attributes relating to the Checklist Item of linear equipment:

From Point - Starting point of the result / problem. Must fall between the Equipment Starting Point and the defined equipment length plus the Equipment Starting Point unless the equipment is the work order header equipment, in which case the work order determines the range.

From Point Ref. Description - Free text field.

From Point Geographical Ref. - Free text field.

To Point— Ending point of the result / problem. Must fall between the Equipment Starting Point and the defined equipment length plus the Equipment Starting Point unless the equipment is the work order header equipment, in which case the work order determines the range.

Checklist items cannot be created on this tab. To use the same Checklist Item multiple
times to identify a problem with the ties starting at 500 foot and another starting
at 2300 foot you must make sure that when you create the Checklist Item you use the
repeating feature by selecting Repeating Occurrences. Every time you enter a result, the system will automatically create a new empty
Checklist Item. When you are done with the inspection, and you do not need the empty
Checklist Item anymore make sure you select Final Occurrence.
Follow-up Work
When you click Create Follow-up WO, follow-up work orders for linear equipment will be created for each unique combination of From Point and To Point on the Checklist Items if organization option WOFUFPTP is NO. If this option is set to YES, the system will revert to one work order per distinct equipment. The work order activity that is created will have the From Point and To Point data set the same as that from the originating Checklist Item.
When you click Create Deferred Maintenance, the system will create a Deferred Maintenance Activity which will also include the From Point and To Point data from the Checklist Item.
Creating either follow-up work orders or deferred maintenance is controlled by Organization
Option WOFUTYPE. Based on the setting of this parameter the system will only show
the relevant button.
