The Mechanic’s Workbench shows the scheduled labor records of an employee. Scheduled labor records can be created for an employee in a variety of ways, but once created, can be broken down into two different types of records:

Daily Scheduling records

Shift Scheduling records
Daily Scheduling records are created on the Daily Scheduling tab of the WO Daily Scheduling screen, but they can also originate on the Schedule Labor tab of the Work Order screen or the WO Scheduling screen. Shift Scheduling records only have one source and are always created on the Shift Scheduling tab of the WO Daily Scheduling screen. For details see the functional brief on WO Daily Scheduling.
Once scheduled labor records are created for an employee, the Mechanic’s Workbench displays the records for that employee. If a Shift is selected only the scheduled records of that shift will be displayed. If the Shift is blank the system will automatically show Daily Scheduling records. Because there is no time context in this case, like there is when a Shift is selected, the system will display Daily Scheduling records that are scheduled for yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
