Enter calibration results for calibration work orders to report calibration data for the actual work performed while calibrating a piece of equipment.

When a work order is created or generated, all of the calibration data and test points are retrieved from the calibration equipment to the work order. If the equipment on the work order is a loop, test points are created for the loop. You can view a list of all loop instruments for a work order as necessary.

See Viewing loop instruments for a work order

The calibration results you enter for the equipment determines the calibration status of the work order, as well as the status for each test point. The initial status for a calibration work order header is Incomplete. The header status remains Incomplete until all of the test point information is entered and all of the test points pass, or until one of the test points fails. If a test point fails, the calibration status for the header is set to Fail. The calibration status is only set to Pass when all the test points on the work order have passed.

When entering results for both "as found" and "as left" data, you must enter a value for the device reading, tolerance, and standard, as well as the units of measure for the tolerance and standard.

For multiple equipment work orders, the calibration list shows all test points associated with the header work order and related work orders.

  1. Select Work > Work Order.

  2. Select the work order for which to enter calibration results, and then select Options > Calibration.

  3. Select the test point for which to enter calibration results, and then select Options > Calibration Data Entry.

Equip, Seq#, TestPt, and Toler are automatically populated.

Toler is displayed in an absolute number format, even if the value is a percentage. For example, 75 is displayed for a device tolerance of 75%.

  4. Choose one of these options:

    Option

    Description

    As Found

Select to enter "as found" results indicating the initial calibration results. Toler is automatically populated with the device tolerance range specified for the test point.

    As Left

Select to enter "as left" results if an instrument adjustment or recalibration are required.

  5. Specify this information:

Not Applicable - Select to indicate whether the test point is applicable for the calibration process.

Std - Specify the test point value, and then enter the unit of measure defined for the standard on the instrumentrecord in the adjacent field.

Out - Specify the value of the test point output, and then enter the unit of measure defined for the output onthe instrument record in the adjacent field.

Read - Specify the value of the device reading for the test point. Deviat and Status are automatically populatedbased on the previous values entered.

  6. Tap Save.

  7. Tap Yes.
