Go to ArcCatalog.

Setup SDE connection in ArcCatalog (if it doesn't exist) for the enterprise database used to store GIS datasets. Once the SDE connection is established, then ‘Add Global IDs’ and ‘Enable Archiving’ on feature classes.

Right click on the feature class and select Manage -> Add Global IDs option.

Right click on the feature class and select Manage -> Enable Archiving option.

Repeat these steps for all feature classes to include Global IDs and Enable Archiving.
