When a user places the cursor inside the Search field in the Map View screen, two tab options will display – search by Address; or search by Equipment.
Address search is dependent on the availability of Geocoding locator file(s) and
specification of the MOBGEOFL installation parameter for offline geocoding. Additionally,
for search suggestions to be available, this setting must also be configured on the
locator.

To perform a Quick Search – Address (default tab), the user may enter a desired address to locate in the Map View. When an Address Search is performed, address suggestions will appear as the user is typing if suggestions have been enabled for the supporting feature service. The user may then select a suggested address from the suggested options; and the application will display a symbol (red pin) at the selected address location on the Map View and will zoom to an extent surrounding this location.
For a Quick Search – Equipment, the user would need to select the Equipment tab; and then enter a text string upon which to filter equipment. EAM equipment suggestions that match search criteria will be displayed below the Search field while the user is typing. The user can then select the desired equipment item from the list of suggestions. The application will then highlight the equipment on the Map View, centering the map extent around the selected equipment; and the equipment details for the item will also be displayed.
