The calculation of a Main Isolation solution requires additional supplementary data which is stored in four (4) system tables. These tables are each described in greater detail in the following sections. The user’s System Administrator and/or their organization’s GIS Administrator must independently determine a method by which to summarize main, block, valve and summary attribute data; in preparation for loading to the system tables, most likely via the HxGN EAM Import Utility. It is expected that these methods would make use of an ArcGIS Server Geoprocessing service, which would routinely summarize the relationships between the mains, blocks and valves currently present in the network (and could optionally be configured to directly populate the Main Isolation tables via web services). However, no specific Geoprocessing service for this purpose will be delivered with HxGN EAM, the HxGN EAM GIS module or HxGN EAM Mobile for Transit at this time; nor will any screen be provided for the purpose of populating or managing data in the Main Isolation tables.

For additional information regarding the HxGN EAM Import Utility, see the HxGN EAM Import Utility Guide.

Details regarding specific table names and contents, fields, web services and corresponding xpath references are outlined in the following section and Appendix. Users may format this information in keeping with Import Utility requirements to create spreadsheet templates for use in populating the Main Isolation tables.
