An overview template administrator creates an Equipment Overview 360 screen, for example for the work planners, with several widgets and configures and positions all widgets as required. When completed the administrator on the Equipment Overview 360 screen will:

  1. Click the Save Template button.

  2. The system will then bring up the Save Overview Template pop-up where the administrator can enter:

    1. Code of the template. For example, WORK-PLANNER.

    2. Description of the template. For example, Work Planning Overview.

    3. Public check box. Select this if you want everybody to enjoy this template. But, since in this example it is dedicated to work planners, Public will remain unselected.

    4. Out of Service check box. Select this to remove templates from the lookup without deleting them. Unlikely you will do this for a new template you just created. But for an older template that has lost its usefulness you can select the template and then click Save Template, select Out of Service, and click Submit.

      1. The Out of Service check box only removes the template from the lookup, it does not remove it from any users that have previously selected it as their default. If you want to remove it from the system completely, you must delete it.

    5. On the Save Overview Template, the administrator can also click:

      1. Translations to translate the description of the template.

      2. Delete to delete the template.

    6. When all data is filled in, click Submit to save the new template.

Once completed, the administrator can give access to this template by selecting the work planner group on the User Groups screen and then on the Overview Templates tab adding the just created template. You can select Default on this tab if this should become the default template for work planners. This means that if the planner starts the Equipment Overview 360 screen, or any clone thereof, the system will automatically select this template, providing the user has not already overwritten this default with another personal default for that screen.

If you make changes to the widget configuration you always do that to the current selection on the screen. Any changes to the widgets and their settings are also immediately saved to that selection. The selection on the screen can be:

  • Your personal overview. You know you are on your personal overview if the Select Template button is called Select Template.

  • The selected template. If the Select Template button shows the name of a template with the Reset icon next to it, then you know you are updating that template.

The fact that changes to the widgets and their settings are immediately saved also means that the Save Template button has ‘limited’ functionality and is mainly there to create a new template or change the template description, including translations, and the public and out of service settings of an existing template. After you have created a new template and want to make further changes to it you must therefore always first select this template again.

Templates created on the Equipment Overview 360 screen will not be available on the Organization Overview 360 screen and vice versa.
