For defined Consequences you can define costs on this tab. The Consequence Cost tab has the following important attributes:

  1. Consequence - Select the code for the consequence.

  2. Organization - Consequence cost for the same event may be different and could depend on country, region, or regulation for example.

  3. Consequence Cost - Enter the monetary cost of the consequence. This value will default on the RCM tab, if this consequence is selected and the organization matches that of the equipment.

  4. Black Swan - A black swan is an event with a low probability but a very high cost or unwanted consequence. It is recommended to only select this for the worst consequence and leave it unselected for the others.

Changing the Consequence Severity or the Rating/Threshold of a Probability or Risk Level is allowed, but at this time does not trickle down to the equipment and locations that reference these on their RCM data. Therefore, after making changes to the Risk Matrix Setup it is strongly recommended to individually verify the impact of these changes on all equipment and locations using that matrix. You verify this on the RCM tab. This is also applicable for adding and deleting Consequence Categories and Consequences. None of these are automatically applied to the existing RCM data. Manual verification of the impact on individual equipment and locations is strongly recommended.
