The Visualization Data Service (VDS) provides graphics for display and associated
information services for 2D documents to a connected LiveView (mobile or web) app. VDS consists of two logical servers, the VDS Web Server and
the VDS Application Server. For LiveView, you will be installing and configuring only the VDS Web Server. Installation of
the VDS Web Server is also referred to as Implementation Option 1 in the VDS Install and Setup Help.
The installation and usage of VDS is on a per product basis. Do not use the same installation
of VDS for two Hexagon product applications.
Platform Considerations
Single server configuration - All VDS components and services are installed on one server. The minimum recommendations
are 8 Processor Cores and 34 GB RAM.
