Intergraph G/Technology Fiber Optic Works

Error occurs when merging Fiber Cables when the second cable has a splice enclosure with splice connections on its output side.

Description:

  1. Find a Fiber Cable with an endpoint coincident with a second Fiber Cable. The second Fiber Cable must have a splice enclosure on its output side, and it must have splice connections on that side.

  2. Select the first Fiber Cable and use the Merge command from Edit>Features>Merge Feature.

  3. Select the second Fiber Cable.

  4. Double click to accept the merge.

  5. The following error is displayed: "Failed in EventControl1_Click Failed in GTMergeFeatureService_StartMerge Failed in DoStartMerge Failed in UpdateDatabase Failed in CallPostProcessOnIGTMergeFeatures."

Resolution:

This workflow now properly merges the two fiber cables and preserves the splice connections that the second Fiber Cable had.

FOW upgrade script fails with an exception.

Description:

When upgrading from G/Tech 10.3.1905, FOW 1.3.3 to G/Tech 10.4.2006, FOW 1.4.2006, the FOW01.04.1909.00001_ConfigureInfrastructureEdges.sql upgrade script fails with an exception if there is already a functional interface configured for the G3E_DETAILID attribute.

Resolution:

The script no longer raises an exception if a model is already configured properly for G3E_DETAILID. It will still raise an exception if a custom functional interface is configured.

Splice Schematic print to PDF does not display correct tube colors.

Description:

The Splice Schematic displays tubes in the proper color, but if you print the schematic using Microsoft Print to PDF, the tube colors are black.

Resolution:

The tube color is properly maintained when printing.

Intergraph G/Technology Fiber Optic Works

Splice Schematic does not use metadata feature labels.

Description:

The Splice Schematic does not display the same feature labels as other commands in G/Technology and Fiber Optic Works.

Resolution:

Updated the Splice Schematic to display metadata-driven feature labels in its output, instead of just the feature’s identifier value.
