Configure a HxGN SDx site for the HxGN SDx Connector for Maximo - HxGN SDx - v11 - Installation & Upgrade - Hexagon

You can configure the HxGN SDx site for the HxGN SDx Connector for Maximo using the following steps:

1. In the SDx Server Manager, expand the SDx Sites node.

2. On the selected site, right-click SDx Connector for Maximo > Configure site.

• Repeat steps 1 and 2, and then click SDx Connector for Maximo > Update/Remove Site to update or remove a site which is already configured.

• No manual configurations are required for client components. The delivered software installation is equipped to install all the necessary client components.

• You must refresh the Application Pools for your site after any configuration using Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager to avoid database connection errors. Use the following procedure to refresh the Application Pools:

  1. In the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, expand the list under the Connections pane as shown in the following image.

     

  2. Right-click the site that you want to refresh, and click Refresh.

• If you have uninstalled or removed any HxGN SDx Connectors from the system that the HxGN SDx Connector for Maximo is on, we recommend you update the site in the Server Manager before configuring it for Maximo. This ensures that any common files that were deleted from the system with the previous un-installation are present for setting up the HxGN SDx Connector for Maximo. Use the following procedure to update the site:

  1. Log onto the HxGN SDx Server Manager, right-click the site that you want to update.

  2. Click Tools > Recycle, and select All Application Pools.

• To display the Maximo icons in the Web Client, we recommend you manually copy the delivered icons from: [Installation drive]:\SDx Connectors\HxGN SDx Connector for Maximo\Installation Materials\Configuration\Icons, and add them to: [Installation drive]:\SDx Server Files\WebClient_Sites\<WebClient Site name>\content\images\object-types.
