You can search for tags in the following file types using View and Markup:

You can search by tag name in these hotspotted file formats. For example, you can enter "6-G-" to search for all pump tags named "6-G-" in the file.

You can search by tag name or description keywords in these file formats. For example, you can enter "6-G-*" to search for all pump tags named "6-G-" or "pump" to search for all pump tags in the file.

  • Streamed from the Visualization Data Service (VDS) to HxGN SDx for Project As-Built (PAB).

  • You can search by tag name or description keywords in these file formats. For example, you can enter "6-G-*" to search for all pump tags named "6-G-" or "pump" to search for all pump tags in the file.

  1. Open a supported file type using View and Markup.

  2. Click the Open panel arrow to open the Visual Intelligence panel.

  3. Expand the Search collapsible menu.

  4. Add any defining parameters or wildcards in the Search Model or Drawing box, and click Search.

    You must enter at least three characters to get search suggestions.

    If more than 300 results are returned, you are asked if you want to continue. Click Ok to continue or Cancel to refine your search.

How can I improve my search for tags?

You can improve your search by:

  • Selecting Use 'Is equal to' Operator below the search bar to refine your search to a targeted set of parameters.

  • Using the pie chart to navigate your search results.

  • Toggling search results on or off.

  • Organizing search results by color.

  • Hiding non-matching results from your view.

How can I share my search results?

To share your search results:

  1. Open a supported file type using View and Markup.

  2. Run a visual intelligence search.

  3. Select VisualReportingOverflowMenu and Generate Share URL.

  4. Select Close on the Share URL dialog box.

    The URL to launch a view of your search results is automatically copied to your clipboard. You can send this URL to another user.
