An InsightView dashboard displays real-time data from various sources (including third-party
data sources) in a single page within the Web Client. The data can be related to a
selected object, allowing you to easily visualize plant information relevant to that
object. There are three types of InsightView dashboard:
-
Dashboards
These display data related to a selected object, allowing you to easily visualize
plant information relevant to that object. For example, a dashboard can be opened
from a tag's Actions menu and can display information related to that tag.
-
Home Screens
These can be used as a user's default home page instead of the feature sets, providing
users with easy access to their tasks and a role-based view of their assets and critical
information.
-
Context Panels
These display data related to a selected object in a split screen view. For example,
when you select an object in a Results page, a context panel can open alongside the results and display its properties and
other widget data.
An InsightView dashboard contains several smaller windows (known as widgets), each
of which can display data from a different data source. For example, a dashboard could
be configured to show tag, asset, and model information, and recent change requests
(from HxGN SDx), and active work permits (from an external permit to work system such as j5) each
in a separate widget.
Your administrator will create various dashboards as required by your organization.
The Context Panel dashboards are automatically enabled for all users. If you require
a specific dashboard, please contact your system administrator.
Learn more about an InsightView dashboard
The following is an example of an InsightView dashboard where the dashboard is shown
in a pop-up window. It contains three types of widget. All available widget types
are explained below.
A dashboard can also be configured to open as a page rather than as a pop-up window.

a results page. In a small widget, click on , to access the paging controls.

In grid and count widgets, the Actions menu is available for returned objects if the widget is displayed in a full page

In a form widget, you can change the display to show the data in a list or in a tile.
You can also sort and filter the data displayed.
